About Me
Hi, I’m Laura.
I’m the photographer behind Ohana Pet Photography, and if there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s this: animals have always been my world.
I grew up surrounded by dogs, and over the years they’ve shaped not only my life, but the way I see the world. Photography came later, but when the two came together it just made sense. Capturing their personality, their quirks, their joy and the quiet moments that make your pet them is what I love most. The bond we share with our animals has always felt sacred to me. I realised that photographing pets, and the connections that make them so special, was more than just a job - it was my calling.
Every pet I photograph is treated like one of my own. My sessions are relaxed, patient and tailored to your pet’s personality - whether they’re full of zoomies or a little shy - the best photos happen when dogs are simply allowed to be themselves. I want you to remember how your pet made you laugh, how they looked when their ears perked up, and how they snuggled into you at the end of a long day.
For me, this isn’t just photography.
It’s about preserving the moments that make your pet part of your story and your family.
Laura took some lovely photos of my one-eyed Labrador earlier this year, and I couldn’t be happier with them! She did an incredible job, and was really patient with a teenage Labrador who struggles to sit still 😅 I couldn’t recommend her enough, 10/10!

My Approach
For me, photographing dogs isn’t about perfectly posed pictures.
It’s about capturing the tiny moments that make them who they are.
The way their ears lift when they hear your voice. The proud way they carry a stick twice their size. The quiet moments where they simply sit beside you, completely content.
Dogs don’t worry about looking perfect, and I think that’s what makes them so beautiful to photograph.
My sessions are calm, patient and completely centred around your dog’s comfort. I take the time to let them explore, relax and just be themselves, because that’s when the most meaningful photographs happen.
The images we create together aren’t just photographs.
They’re memories of a friend who means the world to you.
